Abstract: Over 10,000 parts need to be assembled in the production process of a car. It's not just about designing and assembling the parts correctly but also checking that they have been assembled correctly, nothing is missing, and nothing is wired incorrectly. Some errors in the manufacturing process are cosmetic, and others can have fatal consequences.
There are a large number of specific tasks to check with cameras automatically. In your thesis, you will only focus on a certain part of the problems. Your task will be to analyze the images taken from an automobile factory's inspection line and design an automatic inspection system from the image data.
