The President of the Academy of Sciences, Eva Zažímalová, presented prestigious awards to three top scientists this morning.
The Praemium Academiae Prize was awarded to Petr Baldrian, an ecologist and expert in the physiology of soil fungi, Michal Fárník, a physicist specializing in the atmosphere, and Jan Flusser, a computer scientist specializing in image processing. Each of the awardees will receive up to 30 million crowns for research over the next six years.
