Program: TAČR EPSILON 4
Duration: 2019 - 2021
Summary: The aim of the VKG 3.0 project was a new system for the diagnosis of vocal disorders, consisting of a new type of multi-line video camera and data processing software. The camera allowed capturing the vocal cords in a mode that detected their movement in several places at the same time, so the expert had a better idea of the vocal behavior and thus the ability to effectively make the correct diagnosis. The software for the proposed multi-line camera was developed with an emphasis on data interpretation, and special care was devoted to the intuitive visualization of captured data. There were several features computed for each scan line. A large amount of such data would not have allowed an effective evaluation of the findings; only the significant data were fused.
