The Strategy AV21 program, established by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, aims to address contemporary societal challenges through interdisciplinary research, both fundamental and applied. Within this initiative, the Department of Image Processing has been actively involved in two programs: HOPES AND RISKS OF THE DIGITAL ERA and BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE FUTURE – SENSING, DIGITISATION, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND QUANTUM TECHNOLOGIES focusing on the application of artificial intelligence in areas such as biomedicine, industry, and art conservation.
